Lynda has lived on an Island since 2019 where the hedgehogs are blonde. She visited with her children many times when her parents lived on the Island in the 1980s.

“It’s a magical place to escape to where you’re surrounded with nature and the sea,” she says. “It’s the perfect place to paint, take photographs and write stories for children.”

She’s married to the author Alistair Forrest and between them they have five children and, so far, five grandchildren.

They also have two large Maremma dogs, Kiki and Lucca, who are adored by the Island’s children. They call them ‘The Polar Bears’.
